Ride the Scenic Esopus Creek Route - Catskill Mountain Railroad

THE CATSKILL MOUNTAIN RAILROAD IS BACK ON TRACK

After suffering the damaging effects of flood waters caused by Hurricane Irene the Catskill Mountain Railroad has restored the Esopus Scenic Train service. The Scenic Train ride now travels along a modified 5-mile round trip between Mt. Tremper and Boiceville, New York. Fares have been reduced accordingly. All trains depart from Mt. Tremper Station, located along Route 28, just 22 miles from Kingston.

Board our train at Mount Tremper and enjoy scenic views of the Catskills and the Esopus Creek that you just can't get from your car! Enjoy a ride in our open-air cars or our restored vintage coaches. TWILIGHT LIMITED SPECIAL

The ticket office opens at 7:30 and the evening's events begin at 8:00pm. As dusk turns into night, enjoy light refreshments and live musical entertainment by Earl Pardini and the Slide Mountain String Band. Our train will bring you out on the line to view the beautifully clear night sky before returning to Mt. Tremper.

Enjoy views you just can get from your car, and without the hassle of driving, everyone gets to enjoy the views. See the natural beauty of the Catskills from our railroad's unique perspective. PASSENGER NOTICES

Times shown are actual departure times. Passengers are advised to arrive 20 minutes early to purchase tickets. There are no restrooms aboard trains, please plan accordingly.
Fare includes round trip passage to and from Mt. Tremper Station.
Tickets are available for sale at the depots 30 minutes before the first train of the day until close. Tickets may be purchased at our Mt. Tremper station.
IMPORTANT: Schedules are adhered to as closely as possible, however the railroad reserves the right to alter schedules and substitute equipment as conditions demand. The railroad is not responsible for lack of sufficient capacity, seating is first come, first serve. Please dress appropriately.
