June 30 – Stars and Stripes Special – Take a ride on the Catskill Mountain Railroad’s Stars and Stripes Special and get an American Flag to wave to help celebrate our county’s birthday.

July 7 – Catskill Mt. Circus Train – Come ride the Catskill Mountain Circus Train decorated with balloons with a train crew dressed as clowns on board. Operated in conjunction with the Cole Brothers Circus.

July 14 – Scouts Day –The Catskill Mountain Railroad would like to show their support to both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts for all they contribute to our community. So bring your whole troop or your whole family for a train ride. All Scouts wearing their uniforms will ride half fare. Eagle Scouts and Gold Award Girl Scouts ride free!

July 21 – Lollipop Express – The Catskill Mountain Railroad’s train will be decorated with balloons and staffed with our special crew of clowns who will have lollipops for all the children. Fun for kids of all ages.

July 28 – Teddy Bear Train Rides – Bring your favorite teddy bear for a ride on the Catskill Mountain Railroad. Have a treat and listen to great stories about bears and trains. Great fun for our younger riders. All teddy bears ride for free.

August 4 – Parents Day — Train rides are fun for the whole family, so spend some quality time with your parents and come ride the Catskill Mountain Railroad! On this special day, no matter their age, all Moms, Dads, and Grandparents will receive $2.00 off their Adult Fare when accompanied by their children.

August 11 - Ulster County SPCA Day – Not only is it the "dog days" of Summer but cats and other pets are included in special day to help our animal friends at the Ulster County SPCA. Half of all the train fares for the day to be donated to the UCSPCA.

August 18 – Teddy Bear Train Rides –Bring your favorite teddy bear for a ride on the Catskill Mountain Railroad. Have a treat and listen to great stories about bears and trains. Great fun for our younger riders. All teddy bears ride for free.

August 25 – Baseball Day – There’s only one thing more American than hot dogs and apple pie and that’s baseball. In conjunction with Old Time Baseball games at the Plaza Ball Field. Wear your baseball cap on the Catskill Mountain Railroad and get a $1.00 off your Train Fare.

September 1 – Labor Day Trains – These Catskill Mountain Railroad Trains are a special salute to all American workers for everything they do to make our country great. Wear a hardhat and get $1.00 off your Train Fare.

October 20, 21, 27, 28 – Halloween Trains – Come ride the Catskill Mountain Railroad’s specially decorated Halloween Trains operated by our friendly ghosts and goblins train crew. A perfect Halloween activity that’s not too scary for younger children and adults.

December 1, 2, 08, 09, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, and 30 – The Catskill Mountain Winter Holiday Trains are a great way to get in the season’s spirit. Decorated with lights and ornaments, take a fun ride with Santa on board all trains (except Dec. 29 and 30 when he'll be taking a well-deserved rest). After you’ve put a train under the Christmas Tree come on out and ride the real thing. Start a new family tradition with the Catskill Mountain Railroad!
