Join us as Kingston celebrates its rich history with Time Fest Kingston! During this city-wide festival of history and culture, the Catskill Mountain Railroad will offer special train rides throughout the day. Learn how the railroads impacted the history of Kingston and connected the Catskills to the Hudson Valley.

• July 3 – Stars and Stripes Special – Join us as we prepare to celebrate the birthday of American independence! All passengers will recieve a small American flag to wave while you ride our special red, white, and blue decorated train.

• July 10 – Catskill Mountain Circus Train – The circus is in town! What could be more exciting? To celebrate the performance of the Cole Bros. Circus in the city of Kingston, the train crew will be wearing full clown gear and handing out balloons to all children who ride the train.

• July 17 – Take Dad for a Train Ride – What a great way to spend the day with dad! Come down and enjoy a special train ride where all dads ride free!

• July 24 – Teddy Bear Train Rides – The teddy bear is one of the great all-American traditions enjoyed by children for generations. Come ride our train with your special stuffed friend and enjoy stories with milk and cookies. All teddy bears ride free!

• July 31 – Ulster County SPCA Day – Please help our animal friends by riding our special train excrusion. We will donate half of the day's collected fares to the Ulster County SPCA, a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to prevent cruelty to animals by providing temporary shelter and finding adoptive homes for homeless, abused and neglected animals.

• August 7 – Lollipop Express – Isn't life sweet? Everybody riding our train will get a lollipop to enjoy, and our train crews will be handing out ballons as well. Come join us for a fun day on the rails and feel like a kid again!

• August 14 – Teddy Bear Train Rides –The teddy bear is one of the great all-American traditions enjoyed by children for generations. Come ride our train with your special stuffed friend and enjoy stories with milk and cookies. All teddy bears ride free!

• August 21 – Take Mom for a Train Ride – Give mom a special day and bring her out for a train ride with the whole family. All moms ride free!

• August 28 – Baseball Day – Take me out to the ball game! In conjunction with the Old Time Baseball Game scheduled for Herzog Field at Kingston Plaza. Wear your baseball hat and get a $1.00 off your train fare.

• September 4 – Labor Day Train – You work hard! Don't you deserve a break? Wear your hard hat and get a $1.00 off your train fare as we celebrate the contributions of workers with their families.

Saturdays and Sundays Only:

Please join us for our special Haunted Halloween Trains! Our train will be fully decorated to put you into the Halloween spirit! Our train crew will be in full costume, some come out in your spookiest Halloween gear! Fun for all ages! We will award a pair of free tickets for best costume (the Conductor and his crew will choose at the end of each train ride)! Trick or treat!

Nothing gets you in the holiday spirit like a train ride! Get caught up in the magic of the season and enjoy our decorated train as we make our way through the historic city of Kingston. Warm up next to our caboose's wood stove, or enjoy the festive atmosphere of our open-air flatcar. Children will also have a chance to visit with Santa Claus! Our trains are fun for the whole family, so come on down and start a new holiday tradition! Please dress appropriately for the weather.
